In celebration of International Women’s Day 2019, ZeeArts is hosting its 3rd edition of “Art Connects Women” International exhibition at the One&Only Royal Mirage in Dubai. The exhibition has become an annual rendez-vous for women artists, bringing together women artists from different countries across the world in Dubai, under the theme “Balance for Better”. International Women’s Day 2019 takes on innovative approaches towards the advancement of gender equality and the empowerment of women, particularly in the areas of social protection systems, access to public services, and sustainable infrastructure. These women play an extraordinary role in the professional, economic, cultural, political, social and environmental industries, and are uniting in this movement as a call to action for the continued commitment to achieving a gender-balanced world. The event is taking place during the auspicious Year of Tolerance in the United Arab Emirates. This year aims to highlight the UAE as a global capital for tolerance, reinforcing the very foundations of this country which sought to bridge understanding and communication between people of different cultures in a respectful environment that rejects extremism, and emphasizes acceptance of the “other”. ZeeArts has put together a compendium of women artists on a global scale across 5 continents (Europe, Africa, Middle-East & Asia, Americas, and Oceania). The exhibition is set to take place between March 7th-10th, showcasing both established and emerging women artists representing a constellation of nationalities, ethnicities and ages from around a hundred countries across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the Americas and Oceania. These women will gather, united by a shared belief in the power of art as a transformational social enterprise during this meaningful year.
